Mike Wells - An Icon of School Music Service!

In the midst of the strangest times of my career, we had the opportunity to celebrate the legendary career of Michael Wells this spring.  After 40 years of service to the music education community, Mike Wells decided to retire from Midbell Music.  I knew in advance the day was coming, and it didn’t make it any easier.  Mike is an accomplished trumpeter, instrument repairman, and dependable, honest, well-liked guy.  Over the decades, I heard story after story about Mike saving the day with an emergency repair, or out-of-the-way delivery.  Educators trusted Mike to take care of the instrumental music programs and I trusted Mike 110% to take care of the educators we serve.  I’ll really miss him, as will everybody here at Midbell.

We were able to have a fun but sad social-distanced send-off for Mike a couple weeks ago.  We wish him the very best in his retirement years.  THANK YOU Michael Wells for your friendship and service!
