From Yamaha USA comes the YSL891Z. Designed with Andy Martin Wycliffe Gordon, this Custom Z trombone provides supreme tonal flexibility for the serious jazz trombonist. Featuring a .508 inch bore with two interchangeable leadpipes. The first is a NY leadpipe that is longer and was developed with Wycliffe Gordon. Its broad taper and extra length gives it a soft, deep tone that easily fills large concert halls or outdoor spaces. The other is the LA leadpipe that is shorter and was developed with Andy Martin. It's gentler taper and shorter length provide quick response and easy tonal control. With a focused, bright tone that delivers a well-defined tone in studio and live-house performance situations.
